Special Educational Needs
Pro Corda’s SEN provision draws directly on the principles of our core music training through the performing arts. SEN provision includes the “Create Together” 5 day residential courses for special schools across the country, Activities Unlimited weekend courses for young students with disabilities specifically in Suffolk (in partnership with Suffolk County Council) and BBC Children in Need weekends for young disabled students under 19 from across the country.
Pro Corda’s SEN provision draws directly on the principles of our core music training through the performing arts and develops the whole person.
Create Together can accommodate up to 36 participants from special schools who come residentially to Leiston Abbey for 5 days and explore all corners of a music theatre production with sessions in composition, Dalcroze Eurhythmics (music with movement), technical theatre and vocal performance. All curriculum strands come together in a fully staged production by the participants at the end of the week. Watch the video for an idea of Create Together in action.
