Opportunities for Children with Autism through Musical Theatre
Pro Corda in partnership with Encore Radio

At Pro Corda we believe that a strong training within the performing arts, and in particular Musical Theatre, can transform the lives of children with autism.

We are delighted to be working with Encore Radio to highlight this dynamic area and to provide information about the opportunities out there to develop the incredible minds and imaginations of young people with autism – and which offer real life changing and immediate results and opportunities.

Here are our 6 top tips for ways in which Musical Theatre can be used to enrich the life of an autistic child. Click on any tip for details.

Tip 1 - Immersion in a Show

Tip 2 - Go to a live show!

Tip 3 - Express creative ideas through instrumental improvisation

Tip 4 - Lyrics

Tip 5 - Get together with others

Tip 6 - Take to the stage

Here at Pro Corda, we run the UK’s leading series of music courses and workshops to bring these methods and opportunities to life for children with autism.

Many of these programmes are subsidised, and we offer everything from one day workshops at community settings at schools through to weekend and whole week courses at our beautiful music school on the Suffolk coast and across the country.

For more information on these, to get advice on a tailor made Pro Corda programme most suitable for your child, and for information on how to book please contact the Pro Corda office:
