The qualities that are looked for in the
audition are innate musicianship, a sound
basic technique and enthusiasm.
The requirements are as follows:
- Two pieces in contrasting style and tempo.
- Scales and arpeggios with
various bowings.
- Suitable sight reading.
- Aural and general
musicianship tests
Overseas
applicants may send a recording if a visit
to Britain is not possible.
Sometimes individual auditions may be
arranged at Leiston whilst courses are
taking place. Please contact the office for
further details.
