Please note that all cancelations must be made in writing or by email.

Pro Corda will refund 50% of the course fees provided that notice of cancellation has been received at least 6 weeks prior to the first day of a course. No fees will be refunded in respect of cancellations notified less than 6 weeks prior to the first day of a course other than in cases of illness.

If a student is prevented from attending a course by illness the Trustees may, at their discretion, refund up to 50% of the course fee on receipt of a written request from parents accompanied by a doctor’s certificate.

Registration deposits are not refundable in any circumstances.

Bursaries

Pro Corda tries to ensure that no student is turned away because of financial barriers so long as there is, in the view of the Trustees, a real need. The Trustees assess each case individually on a means tested basis. Students are encouraged to explore other sources of funding before applying for a Pro Corda bursary, for example, Help Musicians UKThe Wrightson Trust, Future Talent and Awards for Young Musicians.

Scholarships
Pro Corda has established a new scholarship award scheme which awards students 50% (or two students 25%) scholarships towards the fees of Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior courses. Students must audition to be considered.
