At Pro Corda we have a curriculum which develops all aspects of musicianship to ensure that our students become rounded and creative musicians.
Singing – the voice is our first instrument, and the experience of singing with others is joyful. We develop skills to enable students to hear music in their heads before they sing or play the notes, leading to greater accuracy, good listening skills and confidence.
Moving – the body understands pulse and rhythm as it moves to music in many different ways, strengthening and internalising the elements of music being experienced.
Creating – the act of improvising one’s own music or movement piece is empowering, grows confidence and leads to the responsive which leads to excellence in future ensemble work.
These aspects will be experienced at the appropriate levels for the Young Music Makers attending.
