There has possibly never been a more crucial time for the artistic and educational benefits of chamber music to be at the heart of what is currently an ever changing national music education system and Pro Corda is delighted that the Leverhulme Trust has shown their ongoing commitment to small ensemble training, and training the next generation of teachers, by continuing to back this scheme.
Pro Corda is inviting applications for 5 Fellows between now and April 2017 and a further 5 in 2018. During that time, Fellows will form part of the regular Pro Corda team and, we hope, gain a huge amount of experience which will lead to guaranteed paid coaching work.
Fellowship holders will gain residential course placements guaranteeing high quality coaching and performing experience, together with mentoring sessions and participation in other Pro Corda educational programmes including the Chamber Music Festival for Schools and Pro Corda's weekly string training programme, YSE. If a Pro Corda Fellow wishes to gain outreach education experience in addition, there will also be ample opportunities within Pro Corda’s ever expanding schools work and our national programme for Special Educational Needs.

Applications for 2017/18 are now closed and will re-open in 2018.
