LEGACIES
Pro Corda Trust is a registered charity (no. 313772) and therefore legacies made to it are not liable to Inheritance Tax.  We are happy to accept legacies and bequests of any of the following:

Cash and/or Shares

Legacies of money may be left either as a residuary (a share of what is left of an estate once any debts and legacies have been settled) or a pecuniary gift (a specific sum of money).

Property

Buildings, land or specific items of value (e.g. works of art) can be left to Pro Corda, which can then be realised to benefit the Trust.

Your solicitor will be able to give you advice on writing your will, but we offer below examples of wording which may be used if you would like to leave a legacy to Pro Corda Trust.
