February 29, 2016

Pro Corda is one of only five groups in East Anglia that have been shortlisted to compete for the public vote and up to £50,000 of Big Lottery Fund grant funding in ITV’s The People’s Projects TV competition.

Pro Corda will make a bid for viewers’ support to win the £50,000, with the public voting online to decide who wins the prize. On Thursday 3 March 2016, Pro Corda’s “Changing Lives through Music and Film”, will feature on ITV Anglia news. The activity is a creative music and film soundtrack project for young people with additional needs and disabilities focusing on promoting confidence through creative music making, film and transforming lives through teamwork and independence. The project will involve 12 SEN schools across the Anglia region who will take part in improvisation and composition sessions, film making and then putting both elements together at Pro Corda’s site, Leiston Abbey, in the film and composition studio.
